Discovery Edmonds
All adolescents between the ages of 11 and 17 of both sexes who are struggling with an eating disorder or another mental health issue can find support at the Center for Discovery Edmonds. To treat the whole person, the professionals at the Center for Discovery Edmonds have received extensive training in evidence-based methods.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and dialectical behavior therapy are all examples of possible treatments (DBT). A trained professional in the field of eating disorders is on staff at each Center for Discovery facility (CEDS).
Path to Peace is a binge-eating treatment program offered by the Center for Discovery in Edmonds. The program’s goal is to help participants develop a healthy and positive perspective on food and the body. Their focus is never on clients’ weight because they know that clients can be healthy regardless of their size.
The Center for Discovery in Edmonds offers treatment for a wide range of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder (BED), orthorexia, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. A registered dietitian, nurses, and a medical doctor are all on staff at the Center for Discovery Edmonds. They’re approved by the Joint Commission and work with a variety of health plans.
Institute for Scientific Research Edmonds is a large and lovely house in Edmonds, Washington. The rooms are small but cozy. As a result of the shared nature of the bedrooms and bathrooms, they can house a maximum of 8 guests at a time.
Meal planning and preparation, restaurant challenges, grocery and wardrobe shopping, exposure and response prevention, practical cooking skills, and nutrition education are all part of the diet program. There is space for creative pursuits, a sizable kitchen, and conference-style meetings.
Hazelden Betty Ford Bellevue
Since its inception in 1982, the Betty Ford Foundation has been a driving force for good. The Joint Commission has accredited all 17 of their locations across the country. The Seattle area is home to Hazelden Betty Ford’s outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center in Washington state. Hazelden Betty Ford Bellevue aims to assist clients with recovery, mental health conditions, or co-occurring disorders by utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatments and 12-Step modalities.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Betty Ford Bellevue is tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient. Patients can transition to less intensive outpatient care after completing this program. Educational and therapeutic sessions are incorporated into the IOP, whether it be in person or online, to help clients develop their capacities for coping, resilience, accountability, and initiative.
Clients can still attend treatment during the week or on the weekend thanks to the flexible scheduling of their intensive outpatient programs, which meet in the mornings and evenings respectively. Virtual settings also provide access to less intensive forms of treatment, such as those offered by outpatient mental health centers.
Hazelden Mrs. Betty Ford For those who have recently been charged with DUI in Bellevue, the city offers a deferred prosecution program. Morning and evening sessions are offered so that the program can fulfill the requirements for deferred prosecution in Washington State. All members of the family who are impacted by addiction or co-occurring disorders can find healing through a family program.
Re START
Young adults and teenagers who are addicted to electronic devices can get help at ReSTART. Persons with problems with excessive use of electronic media (such as video games, the internet, or social networking sites) are helped. Men and women suffering from depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), academic difficulties, and relationship difficulties can find support and healing through ReSTART’s residential treatment program.
ReSTART incorporates therapies with a strong track record of success, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, family therapy, motivational interviewing, life skills, interpersonal, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). ReSTART has gender-specific treatment options for both adults and adolescents in separate but equally effective programs.
reSTART offers adults a variety of services, including safe home-based life-sharing communities, daily workshops, individual therapy sessions, experiential therapies, volunteer opportunities, hiking and camping, and connection with nature. ReSTART’s unique De-Tech Rise Up sober living program offers participants the opportunity to live on a working ranch while regaining their sobriety. They spend a minimum of one month at a retreat where they participate in intensive clinical therapy, workshops, groups, adventure therapy, and other activities designed to help them find a healthy balance in their lives and maintain their recovery.
There’s a Sustainability Maintain Momentum program and an Open World program for adults. The former offers assisted living, and the latter encourages self-sufficiency over three to eight months (9-12 Months). They provide both a summer intensive program and a year-round residential option for teenagers. The duration of the program for teenagers is roughly 12 weeks. There is a fee associated with participating in Re START.
There are two separate dormitories at ReSTART, one for each gender and age group. Adults can call Rise-Up Ranch their home. An adult can stay in a cozy cabin in the mountains at ReStart. There’s a gym, a lounge, a fire pit, a horseshoe pit, a coop with chickens, a wood-burning stove, and some puzzles and board games to keep you occupied.
The shared bathrooms at the residence have a king-sized Jacuzzi tub and two sink vanities, and the rooms themselves are semi-private. Serenity Mountain, where reSTART’s adolescent residents stay, spans 32 wooded acres and has a name that evokes a sense of peace and tranquility.
At Serenity Mountain, you’ll find a learning center, outdoor lounge, fire pit, mountain trails, a library stocked with both modern and classic works, and an indoor swimming pool. There are shared bedrooms and bathrooms for teenagers, and they are separated by gender.
