This dispensary in Mount Vernon, Washington, is run by African-Americans and features stark white walls and minimal decor to put the focus squarely on the wares for sale. Like sacred artifacts, nugs are displayed atop wooden thrones.

Anacostia Organics has the look and feel of a high-end boutique, with white walls and product displays in glass cases. Vape cartridges, concentrates, salves, suppositories, soaks, and consumables like honey, lozenges, and chocolates are all available here, among many other products that have been carefully selected. Store visitors can also choose from a wide variety of Abatin and District Cannabis strains.
Ward 7 and 8 inhabitants receive a 10% discount as a show of appreciation for living in the area (as do veterans and seniors). Patients who are either new to the practice or are celebrating a birthday will receive a 25% discount.
Takoma Wellness Center
DC’s first dispensary debuted in 2013, and the budtenders there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You can find a wide variety of pre-rolled joints, cartridges, edibles, tinctures, and CBD oil in addition to a mind-blowing array of flowers.

Rise is tucked away on a peaceful corner just outside of the city, across from a communal garden and a small park. It seems like a trendy coffee shop from the outside, and its name is inconspicuous.
