Larry Pederson, the company’s current owner, began the towing service in 1977. When we first met, Larry was the owner of a Husky service station and repair business in Orem. He decided to invest in a tow truck so he could bring in broken-down automobiles to his garage for servicing.
Since no other shops in the Orem and Provo areas had found a trustworthy towing service, Larry soon found himself spending much of his time delivering towed vehicles to other local businesses. Larry realized he could make a living towing, so he sold the service station and pursued that career path full-time. From having just one truck in 1977, Larry’s Towing now operates a fleet of fifteen.
Our fleet consists of anything from little flatbeds to massive 60-ton wreckers, with everything in between. This includes 4×4 wreckers, off-road recovery vehicles, a tractor, a Landoll trailer, medium-duty tow trucks, reefer trailers, and several other heavy-duty tow trucks.
