Shadow Mountain Recovery – Taos

Taos’s Shadow Mountain Recovery is an alternative to the 12-step model of care, emphasizing a combination of evidence-based and holistic therapies designed to meet each client’s unique needs.

Trauma-informed treatments, gender-specific programming, equine-assisted therapies, music, family programs, therapeutic fitness, spiritual guidance, activity-based therapies, case management, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, life skills training, medication assistance, Refuge Recovery, and SMART Recovery are all available to those who enroll in this program.

Clients will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of addiction specialists to determine which of these services will be most beneficial to them and how to integrate them into an individualized inpatient treatment plan.

Central New Mexico Treatment Center

For clients experiencing withdrawal from opioid use, the staff at Central New Mexico Treatment Center can prescribe them Methadone, Buprenorphine, or Suboxone to alleviate their symptoms. The areas of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, North Valley, South Valley, Corrales, and Belen are served by this particular location.

Also available are medically supervised withdrawal, medical exams, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy with a designated addiction specialist.

Clients may be referred to an alternative New Mexico drug rehab that is equipped to offer more extensive and long-term treatment options. Customers have the option of using their funds, an insurance policy, or both to cover the cost of services.

Hoy Recovery Program

Hoy Recovery Program provides comprehensive treatment for substance abuse that prioritizes the whole person by tending to their psychological, physiological, and spiritual needs simultaneously. Each participant’s program will be uniquely designed to meet his or her needs. Each one is tailor-made by the patient and their care team to meet their specific needs.

There are a wide variety of treatment options to choose from, including individual and group therapy, family-inclusive programs, support groups, social sober activities, art therapy, a sweat lodge, agricultural programs, community reintegration services, fitness, skill training, 12-step programs, yoga, and harm reduction education. Individualized care is offered to both men and women over the age of 18 who identify with either gender.

New Mexico Treatment Services – Espanola

Besides Methadone, New Mexico Treatment Services also provides Suboxone. To improve clients’ motivation and adherence to drug or alcohol treatment, MAT interventions may be necessary, particularly if they are experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Individual therapy is available here as well, but for sustained recovery, patients will need to find a more comprehensive addiction treatment program elsewhere. Many of these MAT medications cannot be used if drugs are still present in the system, so clients will typically need to have gone through a medical detox process before enrolling in this program.

This phase of the recovery process can be crucial, but it must be accompanied by evaluations and medical exams to guarantee that the client can safely use Methadone or Suboxone.

Vista Taos Renewal Center

Clients at Vista Taos have access to a variety of care options, including a primary residential program, an extended care program, and aftercare. Clients can build trusting relationships and acquire lifelong sobriety-supporting skills by remaining on the same treatment team from the start to the finish of their substance abuse treatment.

Each strategy integrates conventional medicine with complementary approaches to health. The primary treatment phase typically lasts between four and six weeks, while the follow-up phase can go on for as long as is required.

In this second stage, patients are given more independence within the confines of a controlled setting. Clients will be required to engage in services like therapeutic activities, family therapy, and 12-step meetings in addition to working, volunteering, or attending school.

First Choice Community Healthcare – Edgewood

Medication support, therapy based on solid scientific research, and other forms of mental health care are additional choices. By their patient-centered philosophies, all programs are tailored to the specific needs of each participant, who has a say in the program’s duration and the selection of services that make up the program.

Family and friends are strongly encouraged to participate in all aspects of treatment at First Choice. Not only will this help to educate them, but they will also learn invaluable skills for facilitating recovery at home.
