Anchorage Pioneer Home, located on the other side of Park Strip from downtown Anchorage and the city’s oldest residential sector, is a “jewel in the crown” of Anchorage’s historic community core. This 168-bed, the five-story institution is run by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and is reserved for Alaskans aged 65 and over.
