At our Auckland City location, we are proud to offer you a diverse selection of vehicles. At Ezi, value does not imply sacrifice. You can be confident that you are in good hands because we are the largest independent operator in New Zealand, with a fleet of mostly brand new vehicles. We have everything from compact rental cars, which are ideal for couples looking for a smaller option, to SUVs and 4WDs, which are ideal for hitting the road in style, all the way up to 8 seater people movers and 12 seater minivans, which are ideal for large families, small group touring, school or sports groups.
If you need assistance getting around the city or the country, our team at Ezi Auckland City will show you around our satellite navigation offer (GPS) so you can get to your destination without difficulty.
Are you flying into Auckland Airport? We also have an Ezi Car Rental branch at both Auckland International Airport and Auckland Domestic Airport, making it easy to collect your vehicle.
Please keep in mind, families, that safety comes first! We have a baby and booster seats for rent. We recommend that you pre-book them, either by calling our customer service team at 0800 545 000 or by adding them to your booking directly through our very simple online booking system.

What you should know before picking up your car
Driving Permit
Please keep in mind that all drivers must have a current full driver’s license at all times in order to pick up your vehicle quickly. If your license is not in English, you must have an official English translation or an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) with you. Please keep in mind that most European licenses do not have description fields in English and will not be accepted unless accompanied by a translation document.
Card Payment
A valid credit card or visa debit card is required to hire with us as a bond is required on all hires. We will need to take an imprint of your card details for bond security at the time of pick up. The applicable excess amount for your hire will be held as a credit card authorization and released at the end of your hire. We do not accept cash in exchange for the bond.
Walk-ins
If you have made your own way to our depot, the address will be listed in your travel documents or on your branch locations page. For directions, please call us at 0800 545 000 at any time.
Before leaving,
Please allow enough time to call the depot and drop off your vehicle, as well as time to inspect the vehicle and transfer to the airport. To complete formalities, most international airlines require you to check in at least 2 hours before flight departure. If you have arranged for an early drop off at the airport (before our opening hours), please confirm the details and instructions with Ezi Car Rental when you pick up your vehicle.
