Preferred Auto & Fleet Services The business was founded in 1998, and new owners Malcolm and Stephanie Heathcote took over in December 2014. Even though they’ve always had a passion for automotive repair and exciting car projects, the Heathcotes don’t have the conventional background of a shop owner, allowing them to participate in Ice Racing, Mud Racing, Off-roading with their Jeep, Drag Racing, Auto Slalom racing, and other motorsports.
Despite the fact that Malcolm and Steph met in high school shop class in 2005, Malcolm was a machinist for ten years before deciding he didn’t enjoy what he was doing, and Stephanie, who worked in different clerical/admin jobs, realized she wanted something more. So they decided to follow their passion for automobiles by opening an automotive repair shop. Finally, the two came across a shop owner who was looking to sell, and here we are today!
